Data from Stats Canada shows employment rose 1.2% for the month of June with nearly 231,000 jobs added.
This comes following a decline of 275,000 from the previous two months. Employment growth was mostly seen in part time work with youth aged 15-24.
A boost in certain workforces include the food service industry as restaurants were able to reopen again last month.
Employment in retail trade also rose by 3.4% in June while the construction industry dropped 1.6%.
Canada’s unemployment rate currently sits at 7.8%.
