The Erin Community Centre is getting a $2.64 million upgrade as part of a federal and provincial investment.
The renovation project will see installing a fixed emergency generator, health and safety upgrades, HVAC and refrigeration systems, roof structure replacement as well as a new alarm system.
Accessibility improvements to the elevator, washroom and signage will also be made. The federal government will be contributing $1,056,000 with the provincial government providing $879,912 with the Town of Erin spending $704,088.
The project at the community centre is one of 35 recreational and infrastructure projects across Ontario.
