The Chris Kurz Fund provided a snapshot of how fundraising is going following Chris completing the 400 lb tire flip for 1/2 mile that occurred in the parking lot of Dynafit University here in Listowel.
The total sits at $29,244 (with cash and cheques factored in) with just over a week and a half left until the June 5th deadline. The goal is to reach $40,000 raised for the fund that supports local school nutrition programs.
The program has been adapted in light of the pandemic to now provide grocery store gift cards or farm vouchers, offer food boxes, meal kits or frozen meals along with partnering with local food banks.
