Bruce Power offers $100,000 in scholarships to area students

Scholarships are for students from Bruce, Grey and Huron Counties

 

Students from Bruce, Grey and Huron Counties can now apply for post-secondary scholarships as part of Bruce Power’s Annual Program.

They award $500 to 100 successful applicants who are pursuing post-secondary education or a trade for a total of $50,000.

Forty of the scholarships are allocated for students enrolled full-time in a program of study leading to a university degree, While 35 of them are for those enrolled in community or technical colleges. 15 scholarships are for self-identified diverse population in any type of post-secondary studies, persons with disabilities, Indigenous or visible minorities.

The remaining 10 are for students with special considerations (mature students, Crown wards, first generation students, graduate students. etc.) in any type of post-secondary studies.

The application periods runs May 15th to June 15th and recipients will be notified by July 12th.
