Glimmers of hope in new use for former Midwestern Regional Centre

Property was last used as Cham Sham Temple

There are glimmers of hope that a new use may be found for the former Midwestern Regional Centre located on Highway 23 between Palmerston and Listowel.

The faclity which has been closed for nearly 2 decades is sporting a new sign on it’s 164 acre property.

The sign says “Eden Grove Village” and harkens back to a former community of the same name in Bruce County.

It was last purchased in 2010 as the “Cham Sham Temple” but as of August 2019 was listed for sale with an asking price at the time of $3.5 million dollars.

As of today there has been no announcement for a development in the area under the “Eden Grove Village” name.

More details to come as they become available.
