Perth East Fire Department fundraising for new equipment

Electric extraction tool would offer benefits over their current gas powered version

The Shakespeare Station of the Perth East Fire Department is appealing to area residents as they continue to try and raise funds to purchase new battery-powered extraction equipment.

The battery powered version offers many benefits versus their gas powered counterpart including no exhaust, easier relocating and require less people to operate.

The equipment isn’t possible to be purchased under the municipality’s budget.

The cost is estimated at between $40,000 and $50,000 dollars.

The other stations in Perth East are in Milverton and Sebringville.
