North Perth Cares continues to keep up their work throughout the pandemic and during Mental Health Week.
The group of North Perth residents helps bring mental health awareness, advocacy and training to the community.
Lindsey White wants to ensure the North Perth always has the information they need when it comes to maintaining ones mental health
“Ensure that we are putting out information for people to access. Some folks might be able to navigate that on their own but if we don’t know where to start then that’s the issue. We want to be able to have that information for folks.” said White
White added they are working on a virtual program with LivingWorks which has received local support.
“It’s a suicide prevention kind of program that can be done virtually so we’re looking at that option right now to offer in the community. We did receive funding from the Kinsmen who are trying to support us in getting this launched.”
