Anti-Lockdown Demonstrators Gather in Stratford

Event was not given a permit or any approval from the City to gather

The No More Lockdowns Canada Group held a demonstration on Sunday in Stratford.

The event was relocated about 1 hour prior to it’s start when the City blocked 6 intersections surrounding Upper Queens Park and the 4 entrances into the park where the event had been scheduled.

The event was then relocated to an open area adjacent to Shakespeare Park in Downtown.

Independent MPP Randy Hillier attended the event as one of the key main speakers

“Thousands of people here today, all wanting one thing. No more lockdowns” said Hillier.

The event lasted around 2 hours with crowds numbering in the hundreds who were not for the most part observing social distancing or the wearing of face masks.
