Ontario Government Considering Paid Sick Leave

Province has shutdown opposition on wanting to bring in paid sick leave

The Ontario government is beginning to consider providing paid sick leave for essential workers after pressure continues to increase on the government.

Health Minister Christine Elliot hinted at the option. The government rejected oppositions efforts to bring in paid sick leave for essential workers and to shut down non essential business.

Elliot says the province is considering taking action to address what they see as gaps in the federal sick benefits program.
