The Canadian Federation of University Women is an organization that has been around in Stratford since 1954.
They are a volunteer group focused on improving public policy on education, status of women, the environment, human rights, peace and justice.
One of the initiatives they are launching on April 22nd Earth Day is promoting the reduction in food waste.
Canadians and Canadian companies on average wasted more than half of the food they prepare including in production, processing, distribution, at retail, food service and in the home.
