It was all thumbs up and smiles yesterday when the Huron County OPP handed over the proceeds from a recent fundraiser to the Perth-Huron United Way.
Huron OPP Detachment Commander, Inspector Jason Younan and Provincial Constable Spencer Whitelaw who coordinated the fundraiser handed over a $700 cheque to Carole Stinson, Manager of Community Development.
The funds were generated from a recent internal bake sale.
Huron County OPP stands alongside the Perth Huron United Way in their efforts in addressing the biggest issues our community faces. We all know problems don’t just go away by ignoring them. Let’s face them head on instead of turning a blind eye.
The #UNIGNORABLE issues identified by the Perth-Huron United Way are: poverty, homelessness, mental health, domestic violence, hunger and social isolation.
Donations large and small are graciously accepted by the Perth-Huron United Way. Together we can make a difference in conquering the #UNIGNORABLE issues.
