Perth County council has supported two motions which will support capacity limits on businesses during the pandemic rather than a flat limit.

This will mostly be felt in restaurants which will be able to operate their capacity based on the size of the restaurant rather than a flat rate previously set. Warden Jim Aitcheson while not disagreeing with comments made from North Perth Mayor, Todd Kasenberg mentioned those who have been visiting restaurants within Perth County have been those living outside the region.

Councilor David Herlick mentioned how Sarnia had brought forward to the provincial government to adjust capacity limits. Warden Aitcheson responded by mentioning most regions requesting changes in capacity limits are those with high COVID-19 cases either in red or lockdown.

Council ended voting in favour supporting motions to adjust capacity limits.
