The Township of Centre Wellington is preparing for anticipated growth of Fergus.

Brett Salmon, the townships Managing Director of Planning and Development presented a report to council on Monday during the Committee of the Whole that outlined the way they plan for it to grow.

Things being considered include an environmental assessment of lands that have been identified in their South Fergus Master Secondary Plan and another assessment for the proposed expansion of the Union Street West Waste Water Pumping station to service the proposed expansion areas.

Progress is expected to proceed slower than in past developments as there are multiple land owners involved in the subject lands and the funding method of the studies is still being confirmed.
