In a way to provide equal opportunity for all Stratford Restaurants, Stratford council approved a flat-fee schedule for downtown businesses looking to have outdoor patios this year.
Council also offered exemption from some fees for businesses which weren’t eligible in the city’s patio-boardwalk program, which allows downtown businesses to have a patio on top of parking spaces.
Regardless of the popup or boardwalk extension patio, the city will charge restaurants $196 per month plus $800 in setup and takedown fees for boardwalk extension patios.
For popup patio construction over angle parking will cost $203 a month and $186 per month for patios built over parallel of perpendicular parking spaces.
