The Town of Minto has finally approved a tender for the replacement of the Brunswick Street bridge in Palmerston that has been closed since October of 2018.
The tender was awarded to Roubos Farm Services at a March 2nd council meeting at a bird of $665,000 plus tax for the project. It was the lowest of 10 received.
The replacement will be funded from a success application to the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. The town was awarded a grant for $429,550 in March of 2020.
The 2021 capital budget factors in $760,000 plus a carry over amount of $86,541 from last year for the replacement of the Brunswick Street culvert.
