Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health has reported 4 overdose deaths since February 21st in Wellington County.
Deaths were reported in regions in Guelph, Rockwood, Elora and Arthur areas. It’s believed fentanyl to be involved with all four deaths and could suggest a stronger than normal substance is circulating around the communities.
In two of the reported deaths, red and purple fentanyl were found. Public health is asking everyone to be aware of any coloured substance which could pose a potential risk.
