Lonely No More, a program which helps connect volunteers with isolated seniors is expanding in Huron County.
The program, which has been in Huron since 2018 gives seniors a free phone call per week with a trained volunteer providing someone to chat with and give peer support, coaching conversations and offer assistance whenever needed.
The success of the program has allowed it to expand across the region and into North Perth but the program is looking for more volunteers to continue to grow in Huron. The program run by Gateway Centre of Excellence wants to ensure they reach as many seniors living in Huron County as they can.
