Four people have been arrested facing a combined 13 charges following an undercover investigation from OPP and Waterloo Police over the span of three days.
The charged individuals were alleged to lure minors from social media. Three of the four were arrested by police in a setup when three arrived to meet a child for sexual purposes.
46 year old Jason-John Maclaughlin of Kitchener is charged with two counts of luring under 16 and utter threats and making of child pornography
30 year old Johnathan Upsdell of Cambridge is charged with luring under 16
48 year old Christopher Funston of Kitchener is charged luring under 16, making sexually explicit material available to a child and two counts of agreeing or arranging to commit a sexual offense against a child
50 year old Roger Bellaire of Kitchener is charged with luring a person under 16.
