On February 15th at approximately 7:40 am members of the Wellington County OPP responded to a 911 call for a domestic dispute in progress at a residence on Egremont Street in Mount Forest.
It was reported that the suspect and the female victim were previously in a relationship. The victim called police after the suspect broke into her residence through a window causing property damage.
The suspect was also bound by a court order with a condition not to have contact with the victim
As a result of the investigation a 36 year old Southgate Township resident has been charged with Break and Enter, Fail to Comply with a Release Order and Fail to Comply with Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear at a later date at a Guelph Court to answer to the charges.
