OPP reporting a high influx of calls to 911 for news updates relating to covid and support. Dana Earley, Inspector for OPP West Region is reminding residents to not use 911 for these types of reasons, offering 211 as the better alternative

211 helps connects individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness, hunger, mental health issues and various other resources available to those who call.
