Listowel District Secondary School Ready to Adopt PPE Recycling Program

Students and teachers recycle PPE which are then sent away to North York

Listowel District Secondary School will join other schools in neighbouring counties in the PPE recycling program.

The program, started by South Huron District Highschool places cardboard boxes across areas in school which can be used to throw away PPE such as masks, gloves, gowns and shields. Boxes are then sent to Green Circles Salons in North York.

School administration first needs to approve the program for Listowel District Secondary before they adopt the program which wouldn’t start up until Huron-Perth students return for in-person learning.
