The first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Huron-Perth.
Residents at Seaforth Manor Long-Term Care and Spruce Lodge Long-Term Care in Stratford are the first two communities to be vaccinated. Huron-Perth Public Health is following the guidelines set by the provincial government on the vaccination priority list.
The province remains in phase 1 of the vaccine rollout, which ensures all those staying in long-term care, retirement communities, their caregivers and those working in hospitals are vaccinated first. Phase 1 is expected to be completed in mid February.
