While speaking over Facebook, Minto Mayor Geroge Bridge says the effort Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph has done to administer the vaccine is going strong.

With over 100,000 across the province vaccinated from COVID-19, Mayor Bridge says its the quick effort from public health which got them the ability to store and administer the vaccine at a faster rate than others.

“We’re lucky that we were ahead of the game and got some freezers ordered way before anyone else and got them in and now were able to do this. Some other areas can’t get the vaccine yet because they don’t have the ability to house it.” said Mayor Bridge.

The COVID-19 vaccine is being administered for those in long term care homes, retirement homes and health care workers in the provinces phase 1 rollout.
