The Ontario Government announced today that the price of electricity will be set at a fixed price as of January 1st of next year.
The rate will be 8.5 cents per kilowatt and will remain in place until January 28th, 2021.
The fixed rate will apply to residential, small business and farm customers who buy their electricity from their utility and applies to customers on Time of Use or Tiered pricing.
This electricity price change will happen automatically and no customer action is required.
