Perth County OPP have charged two people after a large quantity of drugs were seized in North Perth.
On December 18th officers of the Perth OPP and the West Region OPP TIME Team were conducting a RIDE program on Perth Line 72 in North Perth.
Shortly after 10pm a vehicle containing a large quantity of cannabis entered the program. Along with the cannabis police also found shatter, gummies and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
The estimated value of the seized items is approximately $80,000. The driver and passenger were both arrested and charged.
A 39 year old male of Wellesley was charged and is being held in custody pending a bail hearing. Charges include possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling and possession for the purpose of distributing.
A 56 year old of Wellesley was charged and released for the offenses of possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling and possession for the purpose of distributing.’
The accused are scheduled to appear in a Stratford Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
