Education has had a lot of unplanned costs for parents due to the Pandemic.

There have been unplanned childcare costs incurred by parents either due to an isolation or other unplanned events or to the cost of remote learning any any additional supplies they needed to purchase.

Parliamentary Assistant to the Education Minister Sam Oosterhoff spoke with us recently about extra funding that’s just been announced to ease the financial burden.

“The Ministry of Education is investing $380 million dollars to provide additional financial relief. Parents or Guardians residing in Ontario can complete a simple online application through Support for Learners. This will provide a 1 time funding of $200 for children 0 to 12 and $250 for children or youth up to age 21 with special needs.”
