Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has released daily numbers broken down by municipality and it shows Wellington North, Mapleton and Minto continue to have the highest number of new cases in all of Wellington County.
Contact tracing is showing that social gathering large and small are responsibility for the majority of cases.
Examples include private indoor gatherings, garage and birthday parties, playdates, sleepovers and weddings.
Town of Minto Mayor George Bridge is quoted as saying “this is a real wake up call. I urge all residents and business owners to follow Public Health guidelines.”
The region added 12 new cases of Covid 19.
