Mental Health challenges affect all of us even in the best of days. The pressure of a pandemic can push us mentally beyond were we think we can cope. Krista Collison Peer Support and Education Lead for the CMHA Huron-Perth says that even though we have been told to keep our real feelings to ourself honesty with others is exactly what we need.

“Relying on others and sharing our very normal feelings of sadness, fears and loss is hugely imporant right now even if it’s from afar.”

“Social connection will help us recover as a community. Let’s say more than just I’m fine. Let’s have real conversations with our friends, neighbours, coworkers about how we are really doing”

You can contact the CMHA at their toll free number of 1-888-875-2944 or online at cmhahuronperth.com. For emergency help call the Huron Perth Crisis Response Team at 1-888-829-7484.
