National School Bus Safety Week

Drivers reminded to stop when school buses have their flashing red lights on

Its National School Bus Safety Week. The theme for this year is “Red Lights Mean STOP.”

OPP have had an increased presence in school zones since students have returned to class writing many speeding fines. Drivers must remember to be more aware while in school zones during the morning and afternoon.

With school buses on the roads again drivers must always stop when a school bus has flashing red lights.

Failure to do so can result in a fine of $400-2000 and six demerit points on your license for a first time offender.
