As cases of COVID-19 in the past week have been between 200-320 new cases per day the Ford government is considering lowering social gathering limits. Premier Ford spoke about how gatherings are getting out of control and seems ready to double down on his statement.
“Just cut out the social gatherings, its just not worth it. COVID is ramping up again and we just can’t have these large social gatherings right now” Premier Ford said.
The move is likely to only affect certain regions where cases are spiking such as Toronto. The current limit on gatherings across Ontario are 50 inside and 100 outside with social distance measures in place.
