60 Year Charged After Crashing Into Clinton Business

Huron County OPP have charged a Central Huron resident with a slew of offences following a May 13th collision in Clinton.

At around 3pm on the 13th, OPP and the Central Huron Fire Department were called to the scene on Mill Street.

When emergency services arrived they learned an SUV had collided with the front of a commercial building causing considerable damage to the front entrance.

Witnesses told police the driver fled the scene in the vehicle.

Police later located the suspect and vehicle and determined they were under the influence and was arrested.

A 60 year old from Central Huron faces multiple charges including Dangerous Operation, Driving While Impaired and Driving without a License.

The accused will appear in court on June 26th.
