6 beaches along Lake Huron have been deemed unsafe for swimming heading into the weekend.

Huron Perth Public Health conducted testing and found beaches unsafe due to high levels of E.Coli.

Warning signs have been placed at Amberly, Ashfield Township Park, Port Albert, Houston Heights, St. Joseph and Port Blake beaches.

Based on numbers from public health, a maximum geometric level considered safe to swim is 200.

Staff will be testing again today with results expected mid-day on Saturday.
