Just over $6 million is being invested by the province to support hospital infrastructure in Perth-Wellington.

The funding of 6.1 million comes from the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund and Exceptional Circumstances Project grant.

This will all go towards supporting local hospitals to make critical upgrades, repairs and maintain their facilities.

The Listowel Memorial Hospital will see the bulk of the funding to the tune of $3,247,864, the Stratford Hospital will see $1,439,918, the North Wellington Health Care Corporation will receive $1,215,881 with the St Marys Memorial Hospital getting $217,228.

Karl Ellis, President and CEO of the Listowel-Wingham Hospital Alliance says they’ll use their funds to complete a multi-year heating, ventilation and air conditioning project along with building security upgrades.
