A 27 year old is facing charges stemming from an assault in Downtown Stratford.
On September 11th at around 1:30pm, Stratford Police received multiple 911 calls about a man who assaulted a woman in the area of Albert Street and Waterloo Street South.
The man was seen attacking the woman with a large metal bar with a bystander intervening who was also attacked.
The woman was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The 27 year was chased by police and arrested who was charged with two counts of Assault with a Weapon, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Resisting Arrest.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
