215 Ribbon Skirts to be on Display at Huron County Museum

The Huron County Museum is hosting a special exhibition.

The Ribbon Skirt Project: Creating and Gifting a Cultural Connection is a collection of 215 ribbon skirts to be on display.

The project was created by Jaylynn Wolfe, Miss Kettle and Stony Point Junior, last July. 215 is the first number of unmarked graves that were found at a former residential school in Kamloops B.C.

The ribbon skirts were created by Wolfe and her mother that will be given to youth in Kettle and Stony Point First Nation at the conclusion of the exhibition at the museum.

The ribbon skirt project will be on display March 12th to April 10th.
