To help continue raising much needed funds for a playground at Northwoods Public School, a gala is being put on taking place in May.
The school was left without a playground as it was considered out of date being over the 10 year mark and for the last few years fundraising has been held to get a new playground in its place.
Shana McIntosh who’s helping put the gala on says so far fundraising has been going very well.
“We’re at 60 per cent of what we need to raise of the $200,000. That’s been done from many local supporters, donations, fundraisers that the parent council and the school has put on. So many different activities have been in the works” said McIntosh.
Tickets are $125 each with options to book a table of 6-8 people.
The ticket includes dinner, a silent and live auction, live music and taking a 20’s era theme.
The gala will be held May 11th at Maple Lane Haven going from 5pm-1am.
Transportation will be available with a bus with stops in Listowel, Brussels, Ethel, Molesworth and Atwood.
