British Columbia’s Lower Kootenay Band says radar has found 182 human remains in unmarked graves a former residential school site.
The Lower Kootenay Band says they are still in the early stages of receiving information on the remains.
This comes after the remains of 751 were found in graves at a residential school site in Saskatchewan.
The federal government and other provinces, including Ontario have vowed to help First Nations search for unmarked graves and honour those lost from the school system.
