A total of 14 staff have been placed on unpaid leave across hospitals in Wellington County due to not being vaccinated from COVID-19.
The Wellington Health Care Alliance which includes the Palmerston and District Hospital, Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest and Groves Memorial in Fergus joined other hospitals to implement a mandatory vaccination policy for all staff.
President and CEO of the Wellington Health Care Alliance, Angela Stanley says 98 per cent of their staff are fully vaccinated.
Stanley adding they don’t expect any disruption in service or programs as a result of staff loss.
