Riverview Park Residence offers a great local option for Retirement

Welcome to Roland’s Good News File… brought to you by Royal LePage Don Hamilton Real Estate… I’m Roland Archer.

Reaching retirement age in our lives is like completing one goal of finishing our working lives and moving on to a phase where we focus on the enjoyment of spending time with our loved ones, family and friends.

Being able to retire in the same community we’ve spent our lives can sometimes prove elusive. With the growing number of people looking for assisted living there sometimes aren’t any options close to the Community we’ve come to love.

Listowel has a new choice when it comes to retiring in North Perth. Riverside Park Residence is the result of a mission by 2 local owners. Executive Direction at Riverview Park Residence Caroline Hill tells us how it all got started.

“When they found out that a lot of our seniors in the area are having to go into outside into Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Orangeville and going out to the bigger cities they said let’s build something here because the community deserves it here and so do the seniors that live here.”

She then goes into what the typical things people would be looking for in a facility like Riverview Park Residence.

“We provide residents with their independence where they can receive some meals, they have the option for some nursing services, housekeeping services so as they age they have more confidence in their day to day as well stay as independent as well.”

Giving back is also something of vital importance to Riverview Park Residence. They are currently running a Mother’s Day Promotion for a Special Treat for Mom. Caroline explains.

“We are putting together some treat boxing with our homemade desserts by our Director of Culinary Gabriel Goldschmidt. For $10 you can come do a drive-by and pickup a box of desserts to share with our mothers. All the proceeds go to the VON in Huron and Perth County.”

To order a box of desserts for your mom with all proceeds to the VON you can find Riverview Park Residence on Facebook or text Caroline at 519-291-0076. They also have a website at riverviewpark.ca.
