Perth County Looking Into Coyote Problem

Perth County council is looking to tackle its coyote problem.

Perth South’s Deputy Mayor, Sue Orr raised the issue with her municipality dealing with an increased population of coyotes which is affecting residents.

Orr shared a community member lost their dog during an attack and its been tough to cull the population of coyotes with many farmers who hunted coyotes no longer in the area and now the population is exploding.

Perth County council will attempt to deal with the issue similar to fellow county’s with a Coyote Protection Program which will be moved over for staff to look into.
