I know with the lack of amateur sports we are going through it’s tough to imagine the day when the players get back on the ice. This is exactly what Varna’s Own Kerr does every day when he gets up in the morning and what he dreams about every night when he goes to bed.
Owen and his twin brother Wyatt have been chasing their hockey dream since they were very little.
As of late Owen has been developing as a player playing with the Huron Perth Lakers and Cambridge Hawks AAA teams. He was able to make an impact last year getting noticed by the Jr. B Cambridge Redhawks of the GOJHL and then the Brampton Admirals of the Tier 2 OJHL.
Prior to the stoppage this season he was signed to the newly minted Caledon Bombers Jr. B team just relocated from Brampton.
Owen tells us the type of style he plays on the ice.
Owen is able to stay in shape using a rink on a pond he has at his home. Of all the things he missed about playing hockey at an elite level.. … is his teammates.
I know Owen will get his chance to showcase his skills again with the Caledon Bombers Jr. B Hockey Club. He will be able to continue his quest to move up in the ranks and hopefully one day become a professional hockey player.
