Staehli spent her 5 year running career in University with the Queen’s Gaels that saw her win 12 podium finishes at OUA and U Sports Champions, earning 3 gold medals and becoming the first student athlete in Queen’s history to be a 5-Time All-Canadian.
She qualified for Tokyo by finishing 5000m in under 15 (14:57.50) minutes in Portland, Oregon. She joins other local area sports competitor, Listowel golfer Corey Conners, in heading to Tokyo.
She is the third fastest woman in Canada at that distance and 17th place in overall world ranking.
