Community Living is an organization focused on supporting people with developmental disabilities to ensure that they live lives that are entirely fulfilling.
With the ongoing pandemic we are in they, among other charities, have been dealing with an inability to fund raise.
One way they will be able to fundraise starting this Friday and every Friday there after is Food Truck Fridays.
Sue from Community Living tells us more.
“They came to me during all this and said we need to do something to get some awareness out there about Community Living and fund-raise a little bit. We came up with this idea. We are doing this consistently from this Friday and will be every Friday until they can’t do it anymore.”
There is a diverse menu of Food Trucks planned for the launch this Friday.
“Right now I have Berlin 95 and SWAT. SWAT is American Food, Berlin is German food. Schnitzel, cool takes on poutin with chicken schnitzel on it as well. The food is decadent and good comfort food. Large portions.”
The hours that people will be able to both support Community Living North Perth and Feed Their Hunger are longer to permit people working different shifts to enjoy the food.
“They will be at Community Living North Perth next to the Ag Hall. They will be there from 11:30 am until 7:30pm. We will catch the lunch crowd and the dinner crowd.”
The key thing to remember for residents is depending on the success of these 2 food trucks in the fundraiser there could be more added.
“There could be changes, there could be more trucks depending on how busy they are. As of right now that is how many I have coming.
So remember Food Truck Fridays starting this Friday from 11:30 until 7:30 at Community Living North Perth.
