County Unveils Portrait of First CAO

Wellington County council alongside the Wellington County Past Wardens Association has unveiled a portrait of former CAO, the late James C. Andrews.

The new portrait will hang outside the council chambers in the County Administration Centre.

Andrews was first hired as a County Clerk in 1982 and years later become the first CAO for Wellington County, a role he held until his retirement in 1998.

Former Warden John Green says Jim was proud of his Scottish heritage who had a quick wit, profound sense of humour and often brought both attributes to his role as CAO, being one of the County’s greatest leaders.
