Clandestine Lab Discovered During Walkerton Search Warrant

 

A clandestine lab discovered in Walkerton has resulted in charges against a 51 year old.

On September 9th at around 6:19pm, South Bruce OPP responded to a report of an assault involving a firearm which eventually led to a search warrant at home on September 11th.

During the search a suspected clandestine drug lab was found.

The 51 year old of Walkerton has been arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

OPP units with the Clandestine Laboratory Investigative Response Team alongside the Walkerton Fire Department, Bruce County Paramedics and Health Canada are in the process of dismantling the lab.

Police are expected to be seen in the area of Jackson Street and Durham Street but there is no threat to public safety.
