Wingham Hospital ER set to close from Saturday at 3pm to Sunday at 7 am due to Staff Shortages

The Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance announced the temporary closure of the Wingham & District Hospital ER from this Saturday, Feb. 18th at 3pm until Sunday, Feb. 19th at 7 am.

The closure they advise is due to staffing shortages.

Patients in need of immediate medical attention are asked to call 911 as EMS remains available to the community and will re-route to the surrounding hospitals.

The measure they say is temporary and they say they regret they have to take this step.
