“Win This Space” Winner Going Strong

The “Win This Space” contest is a business startup competition that sees fellow entrepreneurs compete for free rent for a year while at the same time learning all aspects of running a business. The last winner of the competition in Listowel, McIntosh Farms Butcher shop which won Win This Space in 2018 is celebrating 2 years in business.

We recently stopped by their location to see how it’s going.

“It’s going amazing… it’s just continued to grow. The community is so supportive. We were a little bit nervous as it’s an agricultural community so you don’t know if people are looking… they might be growing their own meat and eggs and things like that. Listowel has been really supportive.”

The 2020 campaign of Win This Space has been postponed due to the pandemic. The Listowel BIA is hoping to restart the contest in 2021.
