OPP across the West Region are out in force this month taking part in the Stay Focused campaign.
Running until April 4th the goal is to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by distracted driving on the roadways.
Drivers can expect to see increased enforcement of distracted driving laws across the Western Region with police putting a zero tolerance approach for offenders.
Last year 45 drivers across the west region lost their lives related to inattentive driving, up from 15 in 2023 or a 200 per cent increase in just a year.
