West Perth’s recreation department has kept busy over the last while, including the launch of their recent children’s cooking program.
The program dubbed “Cooking with Class” kicked off on Tuesday October 12th at the West Perth Community hall in Mitchell.
The eight week program teaches kids about food prep, kitchen safety, healthy eating and local food. The age group of the program is between the ages of 8-13.
Food used for the program has been made possible with the help of Steve and Terry Walkom of Valu-Mart who have provided all ingredients needed to teach kids the art of cooking.
