Wellington Terrace and the Upper Grand District School Board has marked the opening of a Living Classroom.
This new training model will help boost health care education directly into long term care.
The living classroom allows students to get immersed in day to day operations of long term care and retirement homes and foster a collaborative learning environment where faculty, residents, families and care teams work together to support both learning and resident well being.
With this living classroom, over 10 months students will earn their PSW certification, CPR, GPA in Dementia Care, marketing skills, work experience and if needed OSSD credits.
